Metaverse is an immense, common, and digital universe that has been created by using virtual and augmented reality technologies. People can come together and interact, play games, shop, and perform other activities in this medium. Metaverse lies in the intersection of the virtual world and the real world and enables new ways of communication and data collection as a new social platform. The use of metaverse in nursing can enable various applications from education to patient care. Metaverse applications, which are present in every aspect of our lives in the developing world of technology, have begun to be used widely in nursing education. In the field of nursing, metaverse enables nursing students to understand complex case analyses and difficult skill subjects through courses given in a virtual environment with less cost and effective time management. By receiving interactive training in metaverse nursing, students can put theoretical knowledge into practice. Also, patient care scenarios can be simulated in a virtual reality environment so that nurses can be prepared for emergencies. When the current literature is reviewed, it is seen that the use of metaverse is important in nursing since it facilitates learning metaverse applications in teaching professional practices and increases educational satisfaction and professional acceptance. It is also recommended to conduct projects and mixed studies on large populations to integrate these novel educational techniques into vocational education. More improved and effective solutions can emerge in education and patient care when the fields of nursing and metaverse come together. Metaverse can also offer innovations and developments in many areas of the nursing profession, from education to consultancy, from patient monitoring to treatment and physical care.
